On-the-Day CooRdinaToR

Well, we really didn't plan to have a coordinator...but I explained to Teij that during the wedding, there must be somebody in charge so that everything will go as planned. =) I told him why don't we just avail of On-The-Day coordination service so that we can at least save money. I'm glad he agreed but only if I find one below the 15K usual price of coordinators nowadays.

When we booked our florist, she asked if we have a coordinator already. We said no and we're still looking for one that isn't so pricey but can still deliver a good job. We wanted someone who is organized and can manage our event efficiently without being expensive. She readily suggested Mrs. Liza Rapatada and gave us her contact no.

After a few days of my meeting with our florist, I remembered I haven't called Mrs. Liza. So I searched for that tiny piece of paper where Tj wrote her cellphone no. and texted her asking for her landline no. When we talked on the phone, Mrs. Liza really had a burst of energy. Her voice was even a bit hoarse because she had a wedding last night where she not only coordinated but hosted as well. Whoah! That's just amazing I told her. You can handle 2 difficult tasks with ease. She said some might name her a Superwoman because of how she can handle a lot of things by herself.

As for her rates, what our florist gave us was way off. Mrs. Liza said that those rates was two years ago and she then have increased saying she's realizing her worth... I understand her naman but I also told her that Tj and I don't have a big budjet and we even didn't intend to hire a coordinator in the first place. Well, we end up hiring her On-the-Day coordination services and hosting as well. Not really hiring since we haven't paid her but I told her already to block the date for us. Some photographers and videographers we've met that she's a good coordinator and one thing great about her is how well she anticipates. If that's how she works, then we'll have no problems with her. ;)

Mrs. Liza said we'll just have our first meeting on May pah to pay for a small amount of booking fee. I'll have to ask her then of the scope of her On-the-Day services since I forgot to ask her to email them to me.
