This is the day that every woman is waiting for....at some point in their lives... ;) Mine wasn't the same as I hoped it would be... Early January, after I went home from my vacation in Manila, my soon-to-be Mother-in-Law in a way pre-empted everything...
My partner Tj and I haven't talked about any plans for a wedding since he hasn't popped the question yet... But when we had dinner with his family, Tita Carmen already asked me when will our Wedding day be... waaaaaaa!! I didn't know how to answer her... I didn't even know what to feel or how to react... A part of me was of course excited and happy that they'd want their son to marry me...but the thing is...Tj hasn't proposed yet. The other half of me is kinda disappointed since I would have wanted to have been asked first of that important question...though as Tj would know it..my answer is and always be a big YES! *wink*
It was the end of January and our 4th year anniversary as boyfriends and girlfriends is on the next day. Tj said we would be having a fancy dinner and I should be wearing a fancy dress..hehe =) He wouldn't even tell me where we were having dinner.. Hmmm.....I think I had a funny feeling about the dinner. We went to La Tegola just before Tops... I was all smiles then since I had a gut-feeling that Tj would finally pop the question. The place was perfect since it was intimate and not too crowded. As we finished our sumptuous meals....a lot of leftovers pa nga since they really have big servings at La Tegola =), Tj asked for the check and I told him that I have to go to the ladies room first to freshen up. As I went back, Tj also wanted to go to the men's room and I said go ahead. I was enjoying the oh so great view of the restaurant and its ambiance... Tj then came back and unknown to me, he had something behind his back... =) It was a very big box....It looked to me like it was as big as a shoe box so I asked him if it was really a new pair of shoes for me... hehe He knows that I love shoes kasi. As I opened it, I found another smaller box.....then another smaller box.....then I have never been so happy to see an even smaller box in my life.... As I opened the final smallest box, there it was...a pink velvet box.... I opened it and Tj said the 4 words that I have been waiting for.... "Will you marry me?" =) =) =) I said YES!!! Of course, I'll marry you! He knelt then placed a very lovely white gold diamond engagement ring. ;)
I can't really help but smile for the rest of the evening.... wahehe =p I think Tj was very nervous then to ask me that so important question...that I'm really glad he was able to pull it off.....lolz!
All I care about is that now it's official!! Tj is now my fiance!!!! =) And soon I'll be Mrs. Jeanne Carmel S. Pasculado! *wink*
